Ajit Isaac, the founder of Quess Corp, is an entrepreneur who over a period of 20 years, has been involved in creating market-leading enterprises in the business services sector in India. Under his leadership at Quess, India’s largest staffing company, the organisation has grown into a 480,000+ strong workforce generating ~US$ 2 Billion in revenues. He has spearheaded the transition of informal jobs to formal platforms, delivering financial and social security to countless underprivileged sections of Indian society. His initiatives in transformative deals, with a focus on operational efficiency and business development, have helped Quess scale rapidly in a short time. All these attributes culminated in Fairfax investing in Quess in 2013, and it continues to be the single largest shareholder of Quess.
Beyond business, Ajit is deeply committed to social impact, and he set up Care Works Foundation, CSR arm of Quess Corp, which has so far supported over 16,000 students across 75 schools. His personal philanthropic initiatives under the Ajit Isaac Foundation include partnerships with the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru to set up The Isaac Centre of Public Health (ICPH), and with CMC Vellore to establish a paediatric specialty centre in collaboration with Fairfax and Quess.
A gold medalist in PG-HR and a British Chevening Scholar from Leeds University, he has worked for 10 years in leadership roles in the private sector including companies like Adecco, IDFC, Godrej and Boyce, before becoming an entrepreneur in the year 2000. Ajit currently serves on boards including the Karnataka Technology and Innovation Museum Foundation, St. Joseph’s University in Bengaluru, and is a co-founder and trustee of Ashoka University.
