Brendan McGinty is a leading expert in people strategy, employment relations, employment policy, change management and dispute resolution. He is Managing Partner of Stratis Consulting, a specialist consultancy supporting organisations on strategic employment relations. He is also the strategic policy adviser to the Employment and Recruitment Federation in Ireland and is a member of the Public Affairs Committee of WEC Europe and of the WEC Economic Affairs Committee.
Brendan has a deep understanding of domestic and European employment policy, of workplace relations and the application of employment law. He is passionate about the future of work, the importance of workforce development and progressive workplace relations and social dialogue in a modern economy having been involved in most national workplace relations reform initiatives in Ireland.
Previously, Brendan was Executive Director of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Services at Irelands national business representative organisation, Ibec.
He is the Chairperson of Skillnet Ireland which is the Irish Government agency mandated to lead on workforce development, is also Chairperson of the National College of Ireland and is a serving member of the Board of Ireland’s Workplace Relations Commission.
He has also worked with the ILO on assignments and on employment and social affairs, was a member of the Industrial Relations Policy Group of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), was a member of the Social Affairs Committee of the European business advocacy group, BusinessEurope and served as member of the Governing Board of the European Foundation for Living and Working Conditions.
