Mary is an author and practising barrister in Ireland, specialising in Employment, Privacy, AI and Corporate Governance law. She serves as a Director at The HR Brief, offering expert strategic guidance on employment law compliance, GDPR, and emerging workplace regulations. Mary is also a former government Senator who played an instrumental role in legislative developments in Ireland and is a regular public speaker, including on corporate governance in the context of geopolitical change and cybersecurity at the Cambridge Union.
Mary works closely with the Employment and Recruitment Federation Ireland, representing them on the World Employment Confederation’s GDPR Implementation and AI Task Force.
